The Cardwell's have two smashing self-catering apartments under their Simon's Town home, but what we really liked on our pincer-movement, was that they offer so very much more than that. Patrick is a naturalist and there is nothing he doesn't know about his surroundings – and that's the whole of South Africa, not just Simons' Town, Whether it's a bird-watching tour from the Zimbabwe border to the Garden Route coastline or a detailed search for Northern Cape lizards, he's your man.
