Summer in Botswana: 1 December till 31 March

The rainy season in Northern Botswana and the adjacent areas in Zambia and Namibia runs from December to March  – and contrary to common belief, it is a wonderful time to visit these areas… the rain falls mainly as quick thunderstorms in the late afternoon, it cools and freshens the land, and the wildlife viewing is excellent with many animals and birds caring for their young, also offering great photographic opportunities.

29 camps across Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe to mix and match at great rates, valid for travel from 1 November 2014 up to and including 31 March 2015. Terms & conditions apply

And Beyond Lodges:

 Tswalu:

Tswalu Kalahari is South Africa ‘s largest private game reserve of over 1000 square kilometers, owned by the well-known Oppenheimer family of De Beers Diamonds fame. It is located to the east of the Kalahari (Kgalaghadi) National Park, just south of Botswana in the Northern Cape . Although its main aim is conservation and economic development of the region, it also offers guests various luxury safari experiences in a fascinating wilderness area, including game drives and walks, good birding and horse-back safaris.

Tswalu has won numerous awards & accolades, amongst them being names by German magazine Stern in 2012 as one of the  finest hotels in Africa, being named one of the National Geographic Adventure Magazine’s 50 Top Eco-Lodges in 2009, and US Conde Nast Traveler’s 2007 World Saver Award.

There are various special packages for 2014 and 2015  for example the ‘Fly for Free’ promotion if  you stay for 4 nights or more.
