The tour can be extended with a stay in Cape Town to savour more birding, cultural and winelands delights.
A spectacular route that follows the Indian Ocean coastline eastwards around False Bay towards the Aghulhas Plain extending south to the very tip of the African continent.
Habitats vary from pristine folded mountains to forested valleys and rugged shorelines providing a medley of habitat specific bird species sightings.
Aside from the spectacular mountain scenery and strikingly colourful birds likely to be seen along the way, the route provides for whale viewing in season, along with the opportunity of antelope and zebra sightings in the De Hoop Nature Reserve.
